Jumong cast Vacation in Cebu, Philippines

The cast and staff stayed in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines for 3 days and 4 nights.

They arrived afternoon of March 8, 2007 and will leave this Sunday, March 11, 2007. Song Il Gook (Jumong) and Won Ki Jun (Youngpo) were the only ones who cannot go to Cebu as Youngpo is on his honeymoon and Jumong wants time to himself.

we were in the airport today so we decided to proceed to shangrila mactan to get a glimpse of the cast and crew.. it was a spur of the moment thing since had abandoned our earlier plans to stalk SIG at shangrila upon learning he wasnt coming.... and as luck would have it as we passed by the hotel entrance's driveway we saw 2 tourist buses parked and some koreans getting in he bus.. i knew immediately it was them so i hurriedly parked and rushed my mom and son from the parking area to the entrance of the hotel unfortunately just as we arrived the last 3 ppl boarded the bus and they went off!! ( waaaaah!! but just to make sure i asked the guard if it was them and sure enough it was and he said that the ladies and some of the men were still inside since they just came from island hopping!!! wow!!! and guess who i ran into upon entering the lobby?? that girl playing seolran.. she is prettier in person than on Tv.. she is very short .. since i didnt know her name i just said 'oh ur from jumong!' and she smiled.. just when i was about to pull out my phonecam my son scampered off and i had to run after him!!! grrr! hahhaa i really wanted to kick myself for not bringing my digicam (i switched to a smaller bag thus i didnt bring it) becoz at the poolside some of them were there!! i dont know who they were i didnt see kim seung soo or hna hye but i saw that guy playing moogol (he was wearing white sleeveles shirt and knee length shorts)..he is cute!!!.. was trying not to look soooo starstruck or be caught staring..!!hahahaha..

then later we went to a supermarket and just when we were crossing the street we saw the bus that left earlier and i swear it was the guy playing geumwa i saw sitting at the aisle seat at the midsection of the bus!!! it stopped for a minute in front of us .. where is my **** camera!!!?? i held tightly to my wriggling son with one hand and with the other i tried to take a photo using my cellphone and just when the two younger koreans were waving at me the bus suddenly moved and all i caught in my cam was a big blur!!! waaaah!! ahahahhaaha....

‘Jumong’ Team to Visit NK

Staff Reporter Lead actors of popular local epic drama will visit Pyongyang around the middle of the month. They plan to visit the part of the original territory of the ancient Korean kingdom of Koguryo (37 B.C.-668), which the drama dealt with.

MBC’s historical piece ``Chumong,’’ a story about the founding myth of Koguryo (37 B.C.-668), Korea’s ancient kingdom, ended its year-log run Tuesday, after recording a huge viewer rating of more than 50 percent.

To commemorate the success, main actors including Song Il-guk, Han Hye-jin and Jun Gwang-yul and program director Lee Ju-hwan along with other staff members will visit Pyongyang where cultural assets and historical sites of the ancient kingdom remain.

The ancient kingdom had the largest territory in the Korean history, extending as far as what is now Jilin province in northeastern China from its capital Pyongyang.

During their five-day trip, the actors and program staffs will visit the tomb of Chumong, the founding father of Koguryo, other Koguryo historical sites and a museum.

The trip will be also accompanied by members of MBC’s ``Great Inheritance 74434,’’ which campaigns for the return of Korean historical assets scattered and preserved in other countries.

MBC is in discussion with Pyongyang about the trip, and an official from the broadcaster said the discussion is expected to produce a fruitful outcome.
