33-year-old promising home shopping channel managing director. She owns a house and a car thanks to a career driven life. She’s interested in men but is a disaster on real dates. She’s a professional in work but a novice in love. She begins a dreamy love affair with flirtatious coworker Shin Sedo but is enraged to find out about his infidelity. She hires a boyfriend by contract, Taebong, to seek revenge on Sedo.

Lee Min-ki - Kang Tae-bong:
27-year-old freelancer for a proxy dating agency. He begins to pretend as Dalja’s boyfriend. It takes people time to discover his warm heart due to his outspoken character. He develops feelings for Dalja.

Lee Hyeon-woo - Yeom Gi-joong:
36-year-old prospering businessman who heads an importing firm of foreign brand goods. He is polite and humble with reputable character. But he’s very possessive and hates to lose. He asks Dalja to start a relationship with him as he thought she would be comfortable and not have high expectations on love. He is aghast at her elementary dating experience but grows attracted to her more and more.

Lee Hye-young - Wi Seon-joo:
33-year-old home shopping network show host. A former hot model, she disappeared from the public eye when she married at 29. She returns three years later as a divorcee. The talented show host, who can be fussy and particular, gets on Dalja’s nerves. She is a dating genius who knows all dating rules there are and what not. Her skills shine in making Shin Sedo as her man.

Synopsis:

‘Dalja’s Spring’ is the story of Dalja, a 33-year old single at a crossroad of whether to remain single or get married before she gets older. The drama aims to comically and candidly portray the reality and undying pursuit of romance of a thirty something single woman.

The love triangle of Dalja, Taebong and Gijoong brews conflicts over love versus marriage. Taebong, a hunk six years younger than Dalja, works as substitute dates and becomes Dalja’s fake boyfriend. Gijoong is the type who dreams of an ideal and rational courtship. The drama also highlights the life and work of women in their thirties through Dalja who is a talented managing director at a home shopping channel.

Actress Chae Rim plays 'Oh Dalja' while actor Lee Min-gi is 'Taebong,' who freelances as a substitute date and develops feelings for his last client Dalja. Lee Hyeon-woo will play 'Yeom Gijoong' and Gong Hyeong-jin is cast for 'Shin Sedo,' a free romantist and Dalja's ex. Actress Lee Hye-young plays ‘Wi Seon-joo,’ a 33-year-old home shopping show host with a brilliant sense in dating.

What I Think:

This series has fantastic casting with actors who have solid acting talents!

What a better way to start posting reviews again!

Chae Rim – The first time I saw her act, I was not the least fascinated with her acting skills or beauty. She proved me all wrong in this series. She was so beautiful in this series with her spunky personality and her pretty curls! Oh but I did not dig the make-up here, it was too much to stomach! She looks like a freaking clown in that crappy makeup tone it down people! But then I got used to it coz she gets prettier every time too. Acting was superb in this series that she won the 2007 KBS Acting Awards: Top Excellence in Acting for this. She kicked back to high spirits again in this series after she went thru a real life divorce. I cannot help but love Dalja she is so spunky and happy happy joy joy and always in an aja-mode when she is at her lowest moments.

Lee Minki- I think this would be the first time that I have ever seen Minki act. Isn’t he the cutest? I kinda like him! He grows on you, he has adorable eyes and he was not lost in the acting department with Chae Rim. Minki sshi you are dreamboat! He was only 22 when he acted in this series, and he acted the part well. He has lots of chemistry going on with Chae Rim!

Lee Hyun Woo – why does this guy never ever get to star in his own series or movie where he gets to be the lead guy? But then again I have a hard time remembering this guy’s name every time! I always forget his name, I always do a “Oh he is the guy who had a thing for Jung Dabin in Attic Cat, and the guy who had a thing for Jjang Nara in the wedding!”

^The girl on the left was the bad ass girl from Save the Last Dance; I cannot seem to stand her face, she looks so doctored with every tinge of her nose aigooo!! And don’t fret people the urrghh-looking ajusshi will not end up with Dalja. Haha! Okay breathe a sigh of relief! He’s more like a friend and comic relief in this one.

This movie tackles the topic what most women in their late 20s to 30s think about and get bugged all the time! Coz it is the time of your life when the nice guys you like are already married or just too young, where your girl friends are raising kids and getting married already…that’s why this series just rocked in the ratings department. I love the romantic scenes and especially love the last romantic scene shared by Dalja and Taebong at the end! People who loved episode 12 please raise your hands and feet?! Hehehe! And yes my heart skipped a freakin beat when this line was dished: “So what? Should I hold you tighter?” Holy smoking shrimps! I pray it was not just me who had that wussy feeling. 

And the ending where Dalja’s postcards with the words…

“If it’s fate…maybe”

“If it’s fate…must be”

Oh how I love that to pieces!!

Another fabulous part of the movie is the soundtrack! I love it love it love it.

I especially like track 11 Lively Breeze, it is so what’s the word? Lively! Haha it is so going to be cell phone ring tone. I got I am posting the track list of Dalja Spring.

Summary:

They grew up and live in the different backgrounds so that they fight like a cat and dog over everything. What I Think:

Things are just so busy for me this past few weeks, and I thought I would check out this movie, so much hype is put into it, I have been hearing this title from friends for the longest time so I guess I will watch it and give it a try.

Since this movie does not have much to boot, I guess I have to start with the star performer…Su Mi Kim as Dr. Hwang’s mother! Oh she was hilarious! She knows how to speak little English and the little that she knows, are mostly curse language like ”F---“ and “Oh Shit, Oh Happy Shit” stuff like that. But without her in the movie, this thing is a lose-lose sitch. But she certainly is the star of this movie.

Eugene, gosh I so love this girl, and Seok Jin Han does not look that bad either. They are your standard k-movie cute, fresh love teams. They are both good looking but funny coz they seem to have no chemistry at all. And I cannot seem to say much about this couple too.

Eugene’s father too was a bit funny. There was one scene, not that I totally laughed my butt of in that, but one scene I was amused with her father, was his scene in the paperless toilet where he was pushing the different buttons and he ended up like a total baloney.

How did this movie rate in korea anyhoots? I miss watching feel good movie with really coherent storylines and nice endings like My Little Bride and The Classic.

I am crazy about anything We Got Married lately.

Anbi is my first couple, they¡¯re my fave.

But rising so fast in my fave couple list is Crown J/Kevin and Seo In Young!

They¡¯re both singers so it is but natural that they would one day be recording a song together. Now here it is¡¦Too Much! It has very rnb-ish feel, very Crown J-like, and it is just so awesome that his wifey In Young sang it with him! They are just so compatible! Damn, they look great together, he gives in to her craziness, and she gives in to his sweetness. They are so comfortable with each other; I am still betting that they will the WGM couple who will definitely hook up in real life.

You can watch their live perf. And Seo In Young was just all smiles, they hold each other all the time during the perf, I swear I am going to turn into mush if I watch this one more time. They are just so good for each other! I love the parts where she sings: Kevin I¡¯m so into you, I love you woo! Mehn!

Son Tae Young Breaks Her Silence over Marriage to Kwon Sang Woo

Hold your horses ladies, don't scratch her face just yet.

I was just so shocked that they were getting married! I was so aikin to the thought that he was still dating Kim Ha Neul and all.

Anyway, whatever rocks KSW's boat, whoever makes him happy.

Kwon Sang Woo bride-to-be, Son Tae Young made her first public statement on 25th July since their wedding announcement was made known.

She accepted an interview on 25th during the recording of her cable program, "Kwon Sang Woo has always been continuously doing his best to take care and protect me. I was really moved by his actions and decided to marry him." Son Tae Young was in good spirits that day as she told reporters of their first meeting, "I met Kwon Sang Woo during a dinner gathering with friends by chance. He was very much different from the initial image I had of him. He was very humorous and kind-hearted and I developed an affection for him."

She also shot down rumors that she was pregnant, "This is not the truth. After marriage, I will discuss with Kwon Sang Woo about the next generation."

Although Son Tae Young looked to be in good spirits, but negativity had surrounded her in particular which has caused great hurt to her as she broke into tears during the interview saying, "I was in the wrong for all these being made known (her relationships). But I think I can take all the criticism as long as Kwon Sang Woo is by my side." Their big day is set for 28th September.
