"Il Mare" is the name of a seafront house where two lovers reside in at two different times. Sung-hyun in 1997 receives a strange letter one day, reminding him to be careful of the snowstorm in 1998. But it is posted in the year 1999. Time travels backward again when Eun-joo sends him a letter of request, asking him to look for her lost cassette recorder at the train station where Sung-hyun finally gets a glimpse of her.

What I Think:
I have no expectations whatsoever with this movie. I checked out yesasia, I liked it’s cd Il Mare cd inlay, and Lee Jung Jae looks hot (I think he’s in a new movie with Kwon Sang Woo) and people said Jeon Ji Yeon was different in this one, you know you get to a point where you see JJY acting tough all the time, it seems that’s the only role she can do…to tell you the truth I am a bit tired of watching JJY kicking butts, so I thought okay let’s try “Il Mare.” AND I LOVED IT!
Must-watch scenes:
J The intro where they showed shots of “Il Mare” house. The scene was breathtaking. It was just so beautiful.Sung-hyung (Lee Jung-jae) named the house Il Mare which means sea.
J The first time Sung-hyung and Cola, the dog met. That dog is just sooooooo adorable! That dog just follows him around…awwww so cute!
J The mailbox scene where both of them realized that the main reason why they get their dates mixed up is because of the mailbox! The cinematography was so nice here, the shots just turns around JJY and LJJ—ahh! So beautiful! Both of them are so in love with each other and yet they just cannot seem to meet.
J Where they “met” at the train station! Omg that was wonderful! I thought they cannot see each other or something! Hahah! Lee Jung-jae is quite a looker too I must say.
J The ending! I was thinking both of them have been through so much already, never being able to meet, getting car accidents… it is just wonderful! Ah the ending I like! Wonderful twist! I thought JJY’s letter didn’t work. I was crying already!

In the last few minutes of the movie, I just stare at the screen and my tears just literally fall down… I cannot stop it from falling, I was crying when Han Sung-hyung was hit by a car, so Eun-joo hurried to write him a letter and stop him from dying and getting hit. I cried even harder when Eun-joo could do nothing but pray for him to read the letter on time. And I cried even harder when I saw Sung-hyung walking to Eun-joo to help her bring out her things from the house… her letter just got to him on time! After the zooming out of “Il Mare,” the blue seas and the fade to black I just sat there watching the ending credits roll, I didn't want the movie to end.
I am so dopey when it comes to this past-future thingy. I swear to Buddha! Movies where one person lives in the future and the other is in the past kinda storyline just turns me crazy..like “Ditto” (Ha Ji Won, Kim Ha Neul), “Sky of Love” (Ken Zhu and Gigi Leung) and Back to the future; I just don’t get it when they start talking about time. Aishhh!
Thanks to “Il Mare” I now have a new oppa discovery of the week! It is Lee jung-jae! He looks a lot like Lee Hyun-woo (Chief of Attic Cat) but Lee jung-jae is the more handsome version of Lee hyun-woo. Hehehe… With lots of scenes in the movie where just the faces of the two leads are just the main focus of camera shots, it is just soooo right that both of them, Lee Jung-jae and Jeon Ji-yeon are good-looking people! They make viewing more pleasurable.
I have to say the closing credits theme song (both the Korean and the English versions of it) is sooooo good; it brings together all the bits and pieces in the story. That song just makes me cry. We need to find that closing song! I love movies of this kind, with a darn good storyline and an even darn good ending!Oh and I think this is now my favorite Jeon Ji Yeon movie, My Sassy Girl is just second. Just because. J
When I got the summary for “Il Mare” from the credited site, it says “Pusan International Film Festival 1991” I reckon this one was nominated at the said film fest, so this movie is really good.

Il mare, "A Love Story," is a Korean movie (2000) that is a combination of romance, comedy, suspense and fantasy. It starred Jeon Ji-Hyeon (Sassy Girl; Windstruck) and Lee Jeong-Jae (An Affair; The Last Witness). This masterpiece by Lee Hyeon-Seung is oftentimes compared to the great Japanese hit "Love Letter."
The original Korean title of the movie is "Si Wall Ae" which means "love across time" may give you a hint on the plot: Sung-hyon (Lee Jeong-Jae), living in 1997, receives a letter from the Un-ju (Jeong Ji-Hyeon) who lives in 1999. The two begin their communication across time and gradually, they fall for each other (I cried during some parts of the movie, although I don't know why...).

I have always wanted to watch this movie because of Yun Jung Hun. J
When I got to see this movie, I have already read Jane Webster’s novel of the same title. I was like why the funny title? But I really love this one; it is now in my top 5 fave k-movies!
Okay lets start with the supporting cast, Ha Ji Won’s best friend here is played by guess who? Shin Yi!! Again!! They played best friends too in memories in Bali, they just jive, Shin Yi is so funny! No wonder she won a Baeksang Award! J
I like lots of scenes here but my most favorite is when Ha Ji Won had to bring a very very big human-size teddy bear (Daddy Long Legs present for her...) and she bumped into Yun Jung Hun! Then he made a strap for her teddy bear so she can carry it like a backpack. Han Ji Won looks so adorably cute there!
Another scene is when Yun Jung Hun and Ha Ji Won were both in the cd shop, then it started raining, they stood side by side outside the shop, YJH was holding the JD Souther cd that HJW said she needs to have, when she saw it she just hid her own JD Souther cd and smiled to herself. That made me giddy!
Oh one more nice scene!! When Ha JI Won and Yun Jung Hun got stuck in the elevator!! Oh the goodies YJH looks so cute in there!! His smile just melts my fragile heart!! I cannot imagine how cute his future kids would be, with his smile and wife, Ha Ga In’s beautiful eyes! Aishhh!!
Here is another thing that is interesting; this one says everything about the character’s acting in the movie. Shin Yi is a Baeksang Winner, Ha Ji Won is a Baeksang Winner, Yun Jung Hun is a Baeksang winner!
Since I watched this movie, I have totally lost it over Yun Jung Hun! He absolutely looks gorgeous! No wonder he is ranked 2 in the most searched K-actor in naver andyahoo korea searches! Imagine that! How big is that?! Top 1 is of course Rain, but YJH is #2! Is he already in the Korean wave of actors already?It is difficult to get hold of YJH’s movies and series with decent English subs… aish. Nahhh he is still in my top 5 fave k-actors. J

I have been meaning to watch “Jenny Juno” for months, now I got it, I just want to think of Kim Hye Seong, and I am not letting go of that thought ever! By God!! He looks Korean-american, is he?! The controversial can of worms "Jenny, Juno" has finally popped its lid: the second film by director Kim Ho-joon of the famed "My Little Bride," "Jenny, Juno" was revealed for the first time at a press screening on February 1.
The movie, which depicts a 15-year-old middle school student's pregnancy and delivery, initially received a rating of "18 years or over" by the Korean Media Rating Board, but the rating was lowered to "15 years or over" after an appeal for reconsideration, triggering a fierce debate on the ethics and freedom of movie-making. Over 970,000 people have already visited the film's official website ( http://www.jj2005.com ) as of February 10, which opened to viewers less than a month ago on January 17. The website bulletin board is teeming with postings that support or denounce the film's controversial subject matter.
To begin with the conclusion, "Jenny, Juno" belies the uproar surrounding it by being calm to the point of blandness. Confronting the risky issues of teenage pregnancy and childbirth in as "pretty" (a word used by the production company) a manner as possible, the movie does not contain a single scene that implies sexual intercourse between the two titular characters, let alone an actual depiction of it. Instead, it shows the two (fully-clothed) adolescents staring blankly up at the ceiling.
Such cautiousness is certainly not because the film aims at "communicating to teenagers the dangers of pregnancy," as the production company argues. Rather, it's because the filmmakers judged that "Jenny, Juno," targeted explicitly at middle and high school students, could achieve its desired effect without relying on provocative scenes. What the movie taps into is the fantasy of parenthood harbored by teenagers.
"Jenny, Juno" rigorously aligns itself with the emotions and eyelevel of middle and high school students, telling the story as they would dream it. Juno happily applies himself to part-time work, saying he's saving money for the baby's milk. Jenny indulges in "prenatal care," putting the telephone receiver to her stomach as Juno sings a lullaby on the other end.
When Jenny and Juno boldly face off with their flabbergasted parents, stating, "If you're going to do as you like, then we're going to do as we like, too; we're not going to give up studying or having this baby," the film abruptly superimposes the image of "Romeo and Juliet." And by establishing that Jenny is a class representative who ranks fifth in her year and Juno is a successful "gamer," it implies that teenage pregnancy is not an issue restricted to "delinquent" youths.
Jenny and Juno enjoy cutesy dates while "The Tadpole Song" plays in the background, and carry out "pretty" labor, like two kids playing "house." The production company dubs this a "moving project to protect babies." But who's going to take the responsibility of protecting the clueless Jenny and Juno?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MOVIE!! Now is that a great start for a movie review or what?! J You must have noticed it now that when I really love a movie, I usually write long reviews about it, I can go on forever! I watched this movie 5 times already for 3 days! It was that good! I recommend this movie to be shown in sex education classes!
I have officially lost it over Kim Hye Seong! I love him so much I can write a whole entry devoted just to him entirely! JHe was the reason why I really wanted to watch the movie, then Park Min Ji, wow she's really good too and they got chemistry! They look so good together coz she's so charming and he's so gorgeous! I like the fact that they don't have inhibitions, like when he kisses her, they really kiss; when he holds her hand, they lock hands; you can really see it that yeah they are together, they are really dating.
In this movie, you'll see that the kids actually handled the whole pregnancy sitch better than their parents! The kids handled it with finesse, like adults. But hey I love happy endings and funny ones are even better. JThe girl who played one of Jenny's friends here (the chubby one with short hair) was also in "I'm Sorry I love You" series, she played Im Soo Jung's lil sister there.
And the opening song!!! I need to get my hands on the ost!!! I love that opening song!! Man the song is so addicting!! And I think Kim Hye-seung isn't such a bad singer too. J he sang a song!!
I want to run down my favorite scenes:
** The way Jenny told Juno that she's pregnant; she goes "What would you do if I lose my legs?
Juno: I'd carry you on my back.
Jenny: What if I lose my arms?
Juno: I can feed you and write for you but you would still need your hands though..
Jenny: What would you do if I were pregnant?
Juno: * To shocked to answer*
Jenny: How much do you love me?
Juno: As much as the skies and the earth! ( My stomach went major flip-flops in this scene!)
** Juno wrote "Jenny I love you" on the school grounds where everyone saw it. You should hear Kim Hye-seong's voice the way he said "Jenny, saranghe" Jezez Christ isn't he the cutest!
** ALL the scenes that Juno is taking care of Jenny, carries her bag, buys her the foods she likes, gets her a cup of water. ALL OF IT!
** When Juno won the Star Craft tournaments! He looks so damn good, plus he won the games, you should see how proud Jenny was of him!
** Juno runs the marathon, I think he won it then he looks at Jenny and keeps on running and BUMP! He bumped onto the post and fell off! My god I went crazy laughing at that scene!
** When Jenny was eating her food crave of the moment, they were sitting on the steps outside her house, Juno was just looking at her. Then he said " I wish I was the one pregnant than my little Jenny" By God! Wahhh!!! You should notice the way he told her those lines!! "Than my little jennyˇ" awwwˇ. He's so sweet, and then he said, "Can I get a kiss?" He kisses her; she kissed him back on the cheeks!
** The whole day were Jenny and Juno went out just having a great time by themselves. They sang the tadpole song for a group of kids, ate cotton candy and kissed in the park, went boating and got stuck in a place, just the 2 of them. Their talk here was so serious.
** Juno got drenched in the rain standing just outside Jenny's house waiting patiently for her parents to allow him to talk and to see her. I just love watching him do that tadpole dance!!
** Jenny was rushed to the hospital!! By God that was funny too!! They rushed her into Delivery Room1 then the doctors rushed Jenny out and into Room 2! They rushed her into the wrong room! Omg I was laughing there!
This is such a good movie, makes you giddy, very informative too. If you don't dig this kinda stuff then go and watch "Taekgugi" or "Arahan" Hahahaha. But I am really big with these cuteness stuff..

Lexy was in tears on the 30th when her 2nd album's comeback stage on Music Camp was ruined due to the "stripping incident" of two Couch members.
Eagerly awaiting the first performance of her second album, Lexy felt nervous as she hoped she wouldn't mess up during the live performance and disappoint her fans. However, her worries were in the wrong direction.
This was due to the stripping incident that occured during RUX's performance which happened to be the performance right before her comeback.
Later on the night of the 30th, Lexy signed into her homepage and wrote, "Ever since today's performance, no, ever since this morning, all I've been able to do is cry."
"Due to the shoting of her music video in Africa, Lexy's been showing some ill symptoms in her throat. Due to her busy schedule, the symptoms have gotten worse and there is a blister inside her throat which prevents her from being able to talk."
"She had a program on KBS on the 22nd and a showcase at the Kang Nam NB Club in which she was required to do much singing. On the morning of Lexy's MBC comeback, she was rushed to the hospital during rehearsals and was is critical condition" and "the doctors said she had a water blister/lump in her throat and advised her that it would be dangerous to use her voice for the next few days, but since MBC's Music Camp requires all singers o perform live, Lexy couldn't lipsync."
In response to the RUX incident, Lexy said, "The studio was on emergency standby. Shinji and MC Mong introduced me with extremely shocked and nervous voices. My voice was already at its worst condition, but to add to that, I was dizzy from the incident and my hands and feet wouldn't stop shaking."
But nevertheless, she said, "As a singer, I'm very sorry that I was unable to take better care of my voice and body" and "I will be going to the hospital daily for treatment and I promise my next performance will be much better."

During a live broadcast of Music Camp, the producers had to discontinue the broadcast due to inappropriate exposure.
At 10AM on the 31st, President Choi Moon Soon along with the vice president, section leader, production leader, and others held a meeting and concluded that Music Camp will be cancelled as of August 6.
During a live broadcast of 'Music Camp' on the 30th, 2 performance members for the Punk group "RUX", Mr. Oh (20) and another man took off their pants and exposed their private parts on stage. Being a live broadcast, there was no way to stop this from being aired.
MBC made an announcement of apology to viewers on "News Desk" on the 30th in which they announced "Until we find a means of completely securing the show from further incidents like this, we will be cancelling further episodes of Music Camp" and "We take full responsibility for this incident and we will take appropriate action with the case."
''RUX'' was introduced to the public through a section called 'Is This a Good Song?' in which five analysts recommended the group. Their appearance on Music Camp on the 30th was their 8th performance.
The head PD said "We thought it would be a nice idea if we publicized talented, but lesser known groups to the public and we didn't think something like this would happen. We're extremely sorry to all our viewers."
