Synopsis:
It Started with a Kiss ended with odd couple Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) and Xiang Qin (Ariel Lin) getting married in characteristically comical fashion, and the sequel picks up the story right away with their honeymoon and married life. Xiang Qin is as ham-fisted as ever, creating many funny situations as she learns the ropes of being a wife and tries hard to become a good nurse and work alongside her genius husband. Aspiring doctor Zhi Shu meets some obstacles at school when he encounters both academic and romantic rivals who are determined to dethrone him. The pressure of balancing marriage, work, and school often leads to mistakes and misunderstandings, and Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin soon learn that marrying young isn't all it's cracked up to be.
As Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin struggle with their professional ambitions, they also struggle with their personal relationship. Many times, Zhi Shu's coldness drives Xiang Qin to tears and she tries to run away. Zhi Shu himself tries to push Xiang Qin to higher ambition and making a life for herself. Zhi Shu soon learns to love Xiang Qin and forgive her bumbling ways, and Xiang Qin tries harder to become a better wife and nurse for her husband.
Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin are not the only ones having problems with their relationship. Xiang Qin's friend, Chun Mei (Petty Yang), gets pregnant by her boyfriend, Ah Bu (Arron Yan), but his wealthy, highbrow mother is desperate to keep them apart. Zhi Shu's younger brother Yu Shu (Zhang Bo Han) deals with his own first love, and Xiang Qin's childhood friend Ah Jin (Jiro Wang) deals with the affections of an English exchange student who latches onto him against his will.
What I Think:
This is the reason why I have been hibernating for weeks..21 episodes imagine that! But not a burden to watch though..hehe!
Ariel Lin as Xiang Qin was okay; yeah I cannot seem to describe her here. The good parts would be she is very loving and devoted to her husband…even if she has male classmates who obviously like her a lot. Ariel plays the role with much gusto; she is still funny, perky, wacky a lot more endearing as she is. One thing that irritates me with her and Zhi Shu’s roles are they don’t seem like a real married couple. In some scenes, Xiang Qin still follows and acts as if she and Zhi Shu are just schoolmates, she daydreams a lot, I really mean A LOT about the romantic things that she and Zhi Shu can do like as if they are not married?! So basically Xiang Qin’s character did not evolve at all, she is still clingy and dependent on Zhi Shu. Duh even her dream of becoming a nurse is connected with the fact that Zhi Shu will be a doctor so she wants to be with him and assist him. But then again Ariel Lin is the heart of this drama…she has superb acting skills, very versatile, mehn she can do bed scenes here people with much passion (check out their honeymoon ep!), and all-around wacky it girl. Hairstyle is better; clothes are better looking too, not those drabby, long skirts that makes you go ugggh!
Joe Cheng as Zhi Shu, if she was the heart of the series, he is the very soul of it. All the frustrations I had with Xiang Qin’s growth or the lack of it, was made up in his character. I thought he has the best character growth, if he was cold, and brutal in ISWAK 1, he can be loving and thoughtful in ISWAK 2. I was expecting that he would be more open and would show more love and tenderness and affection for Xiang Qin, you can see that all their couple romantic scenes are still lacking. But Joe matches Ariel’s acting still that is why they rock together no one overshadows the other. He still looks so damn good, his hairstyle a bit different but he looks different I don’t know I can seem to pinpoint what’s new with him.
Chemistry! These two (Arjoe) knows how to cook chemistry, and man the kisses were like for real! Who has seen the bed scenes in the honeymoon, they kissed and ate each other are you kidding me? And they did that in open air at the veranda! Holy Shmuck I went crazy for that scene! Okay I am now an officially rocking in the Arjoe ship!! Hahah!
Other worth-mentioning stuff are Jiro Wang’s role was I think very small in this series ne? Not his place to shine I guess. But a new girl, Christine now seems to like him; he has a love life out of Xiang Qin after all. Christine, the foreigner girl is a lean and mean Chinese-speaking machine! Figaro Cheng…wow reminds me of coffee! He looks a lot like Max of TVXQ! He was ok in his role, not too impressive but I like the fact that he chased Xiang Qin and made Zhi Shu that he should fight for his wife’s attention all of a sudden. I still think Max is cuter haha…Figaro looks so-so.
Fave scenes:
** The honeymoon bed scenes haha!
** Xiang Qin crying on Zhi Shu’s shoulders after she moved out of his house
** Them 2 at the bus so lovey dovey
** Zhi Shu teaching and allowing his wife to extract blood from him
** Episode 11…I love this ep so much, believe me this is soooo nice! Nice is an understatement.
Rating: 9 Taiwanese Taicha out of 10
Other Stuff:
** Opening Theme Song:Xing Fu He Zhuo She by Mavis Fan
** Closing Theme Song: Ni (You) by Ariel Lin
** Joe Cheng sang one song for the OST entitled: Zhong Yu Yuan Wei
** Most scenes are still based on the manga, Itazaru Na Kiss ("Prank's kiss") by Kaoru Tada
** That Joe calls Ariel “my wife” and she calls him “my husband” for real
Omg I know this line has been said in my site too many times already, but for this guy, I would say it again! I love Richard Poon. He is not the typical drop-dead-gorgeous guy but he definitely looks handsome! Chingky eyes are my weaknesses haha and Poon just turn my knees into jelly…I cannot believe he is 30-ish! He is smoking, goin once, going twice, and sold to the highest bidder! Hehe...Isn't he gorgeous? Say no, and I will squeeze you till your eyeballs pop out...kidding! Hehe...You don't have to stop with his looks, his voice sounds so much better too! Crooner all the way! And you should see him with the piano and guitars, can he play the violin? Saw pics of him doing that…sheshhhh, what can he NOT play? The leaf I guess.. And he sings awesome Chinese songs too! He sang Peng You by Emil Chow and made it totally classy! Wo xen de xen de han ai ni...He is all around awesome! Am I right? Or am I right? I am always right...right kiddos? Hehe...I think I have lost my wits. You got to buy his cd already! I just went to a record store and his cds are selling like freakin hot cakes!

Richard Poon: On his way
He comes up the stairs, and as soon as he pushes the glass doors open, he is greeted with exclamations of "You look so young in person!"
If Richard Poon has people thinking that he's older than his 30-something years, blame it on the music that he sings: Richard belongs to that rare breed known in the music world as crooners, people who sing songs popularised by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin. He listened to the standards as a child, so when he decided to pursue a career in music full-time, it was easy to adapt them into his repertoire. "I think may influence, the type of music I sing, on the way that people see me, that's why they think I'm older than I actually am," he offers. "But I'm not bothered by it. Tanggap ko na."
Despite his age, Richard is a newcomer to the music business. It's only now that he is pursuing a full-time career in singing. If his family had its way, he would have followed his father's footsteps into the restaurant business. His father started the famous Mr. Poon chain of Chinese restaurants. As the only son, Richard was expected to take up the mantle and follow his father into the business. But Richard's "extraordinary passion for music" (his words) dictated a different path.
The decision wasn't easy for his father to accept and they became estranged for a while. Richard left home in 2000. But he was determined to prove to his father that even if they couldn't see eye-to-eye on business matters, that they were still father and son, and that nothing could change that.
His persistence paid off, and eventually, his father's heart melted. "He became proud of me. I'll never forget what he told me after watching one of my performances. He said, 'You have something special in you.' For me, that was better than even money or fame," says Richard.
The singing chef finds his voice in standards
BY ISAH V. RED
Richard Poon, after cooking for many years in both his dad's Mr. Poon and a charming gourmet restaurant along what is now C5 fronting what is now occupied by the SM Hypercenter Pasig, is now whipping up a different kind of dish.
He is singing and not cooking, something his father, the older Mr. Poon whose Cantonese cooking has made him a byword among Manila's gourmet set, may not have wanted his son to do, but is very proud of these days.
Richard, whose fledgling career in music at one point in his youth nearly pressed him to give up on music and focus his mind more on cooking up palette-pleasing dishes, is now a celebrity in his own right.
He has a CD out in the market, a regular segment in a musical variety show every Sunday, an increasing fan base, and an upcoming solo concert.
Eva Poon (of Eve's Garden fame) from whom Richard inherited his talent for music —she was a popular chanteuse in Taiwan before moving to Manila to settle with Richard's dad —should be very happy that Richard is actually singing his way to the bank.
Richard Poon is living his dream—writing songs for other artists such as Piolo Pascual, singing standards and contemporary songs and performing in front of an audience. Being in the limelight is already in his blood since his mother was a Taiwanese popstar. But don't think that Poon is only talented in music. He is also a businessman and owns a restaurant which offers both Chinese and Filipino food.
He shares that for a Cantonese-Taiwanese singer like him, it is rare to find another one in the music industry. This is why he feels honored that music icon Jose Mari Chan himself encourages and supports Poon in his endeavor.
When writing songs, he doesn't have any ritual and isn't contained into writing 'within a box.' Most people don't know that he dreams of collaborating with a variety of musical artists from different genres, such as Bamboo, Gloc 9, Andrew E and Salbakuta as well as Regine Velasquez, a woman he speaks highly of, and Christian Bautista for a Buble-Groban concert.
When asked how he feels working with Asap (the weekly Sunday concert party) and Asap Live (concert production) he states, "It's very challenging. Sometimes I feel pressured because since I'm new in the industry, I don't know what to do. But I'm so overwhelmed with Sir Deo's [Endrinal] support for me. Everyone—they're all so supportive and so nice."
He shares that people can expect to hear and watch a different Richard Poon in his much-awaited concert. Be ready to be captivated and delighted by his refreshing old school music and unpredictable production numbers.

Taiwan's got their Meteor Garden version, then the oh-so-wonderful Japan version with Jun Matsumoto…now it is time for Korea! And SS1's leader Kim Hyun Joong plays the quiet and serene, Hui! Hua Ze Lei! Here's the news… Now who's going to play the Leader? I say Bigbang's Top! Omg that would be so hot and besides he has already acted in a series and some videos, his acting is not so bad. Who will play the lead girl? Now that I don't have much idea…who do you want? Go Ahra? SandaraPark?
^^ Kim Hyun Joong seated right...that is WGM wifey, Hwang Bo with him.
From the show 'We Got Married' the ever popular SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong has been casted for the role, Rui. Boys Over Flower will be broadcasted at the beginning of next year on KBS. Kim Hyun Joong was the first F4 member to be casted.
They were thinking about Kim Hyun Joong as Rui but weren't sure. But after watching 'We Got Married' they felt that he was going to be able to portray the role of Rui well.
The rest of the F4 are almost done being casted. All of them are from idol groups. But the casting of Tsukushi is proving to be very difficult.
We Got Married! Who watches this awesome Korean series? *Raises both hands and feet* I am a mushy Anbi shipper…did I get that right? Andy and Solbi is my kind of ship! Yes people that is Andy Lee (one of my fave Shinhwa members) and Typhoon's Solbi! I should stop ending every sentence with an exclamation mark! Haha! I just love them both to pieces. And episode 13 just broke my heart when Solbi lost the ring from Andy…jeez! I am trying to stop myself from making an Anbi fangirling service site haha! When Solbi hosted MBC Music Core, Andy guested and sang "Propose" to her, gave her a rose wand went down on my knees, thank god I was not in the audience or I would have lost my caboodles and went crazy seeing them so sweet together. So Andy-Solbi fans or We Got Married fans post up something? So you would all die of mushiness reading about Anbi here is my fave news of all…
^^ That is a cute WGM banner of coolsmurf!! With all the WGM couples! I love Andy and Solbi...
^^ Oh I love them! Date her already!
16 May 2008 - On the 17 May broadcast of KBS2's Star Golden Bell, Andy made a surprising confession, "I have a 90% intention of dating Solbi."
Andy and Solbi are currently playing a newlywed couple on MBC's We Got Married, and are enjoying a great deal of popularity among viewers. In response to Solbi's recent confession on Sang Sang Plus that she'd like to date Andy if possible, Andy also made his feelings clear.
Andy said, "Solbi mentioned on the show that she would agree if I were to initiate a relationship. I do have a 90% intention of dating Solbi."
When asked by the MC if he really meant what he said, Andy replied "I'm still very busy now and I don't have much free time. But after I'm done with the activities for the album, the musical and the movie, and if I have time to get to know Solbi better, we can talk about a relationship."
Appearing on the same episode, Saori was asked if she preferred her own We Got Married partner Jung Hyung Don or Andy. She replied with "I hate Don Don", and chose Andy instead.
