Stained Glass

“Stained Glass” is one of the Korean series that I am currently watching. Who doesn’t like Martin of Lovers in Paris! Lee Dong Gun is an eye-candy too you know! J I remember when Atche Che saw this series trailer first on a tv, she was like… “omg Lee Dong Gun is so cute” and she hasn’t seen him in Lovers in Paris before! Lee Dong Gun has this mannerism that is driving me nuts, he likes to pout his lips which accentuates his cheek bones and stuff! Goodness!Now I train my mouth to pout like that! heheh!

Kim Sung Soo is so dashing in “Full House” and here he comes again in Stained Glass! But I think his hairstyle in this series sucks, he looks better with shorter hair in Full House, but I still like him. J

Kim Ha Neul, now what can I say about this girl. I admit it, I another biggest fan before. I think in “My Tutor Friend” with Kwon Sang Woo, she was just so-so and she looks too old. But when I saw her in Stained Glass, hmm…I think I will reconsider things, she does look pretty in some angles and in some scenes and pictures. Yup. I think she looks younger when she puts her hair in a bun at the back of her head, can be pretty there.

Gerry Han Dong Ju (Lee Dong Gun)

He returns to Korea as Japanese. He is the successor of “Ah Joo Insurance Corp.” and is responsible for the Marketing department.
He has decisive and logical personality. Sometimes he is humorous. He knows how to enjoy the life. Although he was abandoned by his parents, he has never complained in the orphanage. He even donated one of his kidneys to Ki Tae and they became good friends. In those days when he was depressed, Ji Soo appeared and became his good friend who he treasured very much. In order to save Ji Soo who fell into Ocarina (????), he disappeared.
Twelve years later, he returns to Korea as the successor of an insurance company. He is eager to find his best friends in his childhood. He finally locates Ki Tae and Ji Soo. However, his friendship with Ki Tae gradually has a chasm because Ji Soo and he fall in love.

Jamie Shin Ji Soo (Kim Ha Neul)

A photographer of a magazine company.
She looks smart but she is actually simple and innocent. Although she encountered obstacles in her life, she has never lost her hope and smile. She doesn’t realize that she is attractive in front of men.
In the orphanage, she grew up with Dong Joo (played by Lee Dong Gun) and Ki Tae (played by Kim Sung Soo). In the eyes of Dong Joo and Ki Tae, she is a beautiful girl who loves to take pictures and play piano. Ji Soo admires the profound friendship between Dong Joo and Ki Tae. She has more feelings towards Dong Joo.
After Dong Joo disappeared in the water, Ki Tae fills the empty seat of Dong Joo and becomes Ji Soo’s lover. After 12 years, Dong Joo, who has turned into Japanese, returns to Korea. Ji Soo and Dong Joo meet again. Then Ji Soo clearly sees that she is in love with Dong Joo. However, she seems not be able to leave Ki Tae because they have been lovers for these years.

Kevin Park Ki Tae (Kim Sung Soo)

An illegitimate child of the owner of a big conglomerate.
He has righteous and stubborn personality. Dong Joo was the only person who understood him when they were in the orphanage.
After Dong Joo disappeared, he comes to Seoul to live with his rich mother. However, his father doesn’t want to recognize Ki Tae as his son legally, and his mother only knows competing for the money and status. Thus, his feelings are greatly hurt and he fights back persistently.
He regards Ji Soo as his only hope in the world. He is extremely excited when he meets Dong Joo again after 12 years. However, when he sees the smile of Ji Soo’s face when she looks at Dong Joo, he realizes that Ji Soo has never smiled at him with that kind of smile in the past 12 years. Later, he works very hard to become the successor of his father’s company, and he becomes the business rival of Dong Joo.

 

Now we have also a bunch of good songs for the series soundtrack!

The tagalog run uses “I’ll Never Go” originally sung by Nexxus, and revived by Erik Santos. I actually like Erik’s version, he has redeemed himself here. Heheh.

I cannot get enough of Lee Dong Gun!! I don't know I m back to back crazy about Jo In Sung and Lee Dong Gun!! I don't know if I am going to train my chin to pout like Insung's or train my cheek like Lee Dong' Gun's grin! Aish!!! Pictures Pictures!!

After watching “Stained Glass” on dvd nonstop, I figured I must post what I think.

This series is basically just okay. The English subtitles are really bad and all, so that is why maybe most people say the series is not good. I suggest that you watch this series in channel 2 or something cause they have really good tagalog dubbing, the lines in tagalog makes the scenes more romantic and stuff.

There are some really nice romantic scenes in the series I realized. There is the one scene where Lee Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul are dating in dvd 5 and they were just doing childish things at the park cause that’s what Kim Ha Neul wants them to do. That was really sweet! Oh they barely touch or kiss each other here, that’s funny cause they were like engaged or dating.

I agree Kim Sung Soo looks so old in this series; I like the way Lee Dong Gun’s hair fall from his face. And I am already sold out that Kim Ha Neul can look pretty too plus her acting was really good! Kim Sung Soo’s sister who likes Lee Dong Gun was kinda pretty too but not but I don’t know how will I describe her really. The succeeding scenes where Kim Ha Neul realizes that Lee Dong Gun’s adoptive father is her very own biological father, those scenes were tough.
