What I Think:
This is definitely the most depressing series I have seen this year. At first I did not want to watch it coz when I saw the trailers, they look horrid, and Rain looks well dirty; but after watching an episode, I figured I might endure watching this one. This is the third series of Rain that I have seen, Full House is my fave; the last time I saw Shin Mina was in the non-sensical movie, "Madeline" with Jo In Sung; this is the second gig of Lee Ki Woo that I have seen, he was wonderful in the movie, "The Classic" with Jo In Sung too and the second time I will be watching Kim Sa Rang, whom I have already seen in "Love Impossible" movie with Jo In Sung too and whom I have heard so much about.
I am really good when it comes to remembering names of characters, but in this series I was like "oh the girl with scars on her neck (I forgot her name) likes Rain who likes the actress girl (I guess I forgot her name) who is engaged to this tall dude (I forgot his name too)" Hehehe.
Before I start drilling the actors, I have to say that I love the song that's almost sung like a whisper. What's the title of that one? Was that sung by Lee Soo Young? She is such a great singer. I don't like the other main theme song; it looks like it is one of the songs from Phantom of the Opera. The local Philippine run uses the hit song 'Nobela' by Join the Club, which is quite fitting for the series.
Rain as Ranier Kang Bok Gu
The saving grace of this series and the probably the one thing that is good in this series is Rain's superb acting. His acting in this series is brilliant; he portrayed the bodyguard seeking revenge for his brother with great finesse. Rain's acting made up for all the flaws in this drama. I do not like sad endings but I would rather have sad than lousy endings. Another thing is chemistry, Rain and Shim Mina got little chemistry to work with!
Shim Mina as Kathleen Cha Eun Seok
She lacks depth in her acting. There were some shots of Shim Mina, where her skin looks horrible, she's suppose to be a rich, elegant, and sophisticated actress in this series, but fashion-wise, she does not look the part. The one thing that shines about her character is the fact that she can stand up against Andrew Kim Jun Sung when she wants too but then again she melts like thin ice when Rain starts pursuing her again. Aishhhh!
Lee Ki Woo as Andrew Kim Jun Sung
Well, Lee Ki Woo has quite redeemed himself in this series. Watching him act in 'The Classic" I was thinking, "Whoa this guy is very very tall!" I thought that directors would find it hard to find him leading ladies coz he is quite tall and all. But he looks okay when he stands next to Shim Mina. I guess they match in height. He looks great, clothes were okay, they put on glasses so LKW would look older than he seem to be. For his acting, aishhh he still lacks so much in this part.
Kim Sa-Rang as Han Da Jeong
I have few words to say about her I guess, I have not focused on her much. It took about I dunno, 8 episodes before I realized this was the girl who starred with Jo in Sung in "Love Impossible" – - what?? Just one question, was Kim Sa Rang a former Miss Korea or a former beauty queen?

NEWS ABOUT A LOVE TO KILL:
"A Love To Kill" or "This Love I Want To Kill" or "IJUSKA" gains popularity from pilot episode.
The pilot episode of the new Monday-Tuesday KBS TV2 miniseries "A Love To Kill" (written by Lee Kyung-hee and produced by Kim Kyu) kept viewers riveted to their TV screens when it aired yesterday.
According to viewership research firm TNS Media Korea on Nov. 1, the pilot episode of "A Love To Kill" recorded viewer ratings of 16.4 percent on Oct. 31, beating out two other series that aired in the same time slot on two other major channels. The viewership of "A Love To Kill" was 1.2 percentage points higher than that of the SBS series "Seodongyo," which has topped the Monday-Tuesday viewer ratings so far.
The series drew the spotlight even before it premiered on national television for starring the popular singer/actor Rain, who portrays a delinquent K-1 fighter. The series' pilot episode seems to have lived up to viewers' high expectations.
The first several episodes of the series depict the backgrounds of its four main characters—Rain ("Bok-ku"), Kim Sa-rang ("Da-jung"), Lee Ki-woo (Jun-sung) and Shin Min-ah (Eun-suk)—as well as their relationships, which begin as disguised love but progress into open attachment and result in ugly situations.
The series' writer, Lee Kung-hee, also wrote the series "Sorry, I Love You" and "Let's Go, Sangdoo," both portraying the "dreadful side of love." "A Love To Kill" is expected to continue that tradition by depicting an extreme love that is too hard to endure
